During this hands-on workshop led by Bren Ames of Aye Open Outcomes, you will learn how to grow healthy and tasty Shiitake mushrooms at home on natural logs. You'll take home an inoculated log and an understanding of how to: select an appropriate tree, prepare, inoculate and care for the logs, and harvest the mushrooms for years to come. Registration (limited) includes lunch and your own inoculated log. Cost is $25 for Cedar Hill or Aye Open Outcomes members, $30 for non-members.
Dress comfortably and warmly as some of the class will take place outdoors.
